Changes to my study programme

Imagen
In my honest opinion, I believe that the singing program curriculum at the University of Chile is quite extensive. However, the recent modifications seem to aim towards producing more graduates who become teachers in the field or specialize in a particular area of study. There are not many opportunities for individual growth or specific development for those who aspire to be soloists in an orchestra or philharmonic. It is of utmost importance to provide students with the confidence to pursue their inspirations, but unfortunately, the university has been diminishing dreams and creativity. There are many courses that I would definitely remove from the curriculum. The “inter-disciplinary” approach in the arts, such as music, is not entirely necessary, nor are some of the specializations in aesthetics. The university's focus is quite broad, and it is only intended to introduce students to other areas of the same university. Regarding the infrastructure of the Faculty of Art, I ho

Time travel to the Future or Past

In my honestly opinion, I would like to travel back in time to the feudal era, as long as I were the king of the fiefdom. I find the way of life in castles and the reign of monarchs very interesting. I am a fan of Tolkien and the world of castles and fantasy has always been appealing to me. Feudalism developed during the High Middle Ages; the kings' main entertainment was to listen to music and have extravagant parties where they could dance and eat so much. I think I would love to have that lifestyle without any kind of prejudice, especially since the laws were also governed by the king. The lifestyle without technological advancements seems beautiful and peaceful to me, to be honest. I love going on vacations to the south and immersing myself in nature without being dependent on my phone for weeks. I am used to having my days filled with work and studies, and it is difficult for me to disconnect from electronic devices because a large part of my life depends on them. That'

My Future Job

In my personal view, I believe that I chose the right decision about a profession at a young age. I really enjoyed music and began singing in choirs at a young age. I met several people in the same field of work who eventually convinced me to study to be a singer. The truth is that I previously worked in an office and detested it; for this reason, I believe I am a traveler; I hope that as an opera singer, I will have the opportunity to travel to many countries and learn about different cultures. Furthermore, I enjoy constantly changing activities; eating new foods, trying new sport, and so on. To be honest, after finishing my degree in Chile, I would like to continue studying abroad. I have been studying languages for a long time ago and would like to get a master´s degree in vocal stylistic and study for a year or two to dedicate myself to doing opera roles and living on stage singing. However, I would like to study orchestral conducting after having built a solid career too. To

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars was again in Chile! The Puerto Rican singer Peter Gene Hernandez, better known as Bruno Mars, performed at the monumental stadium on September 6th. Despite the bad weather that day, Bruno Mars delivered a remarkable performance. His music is characterized by a wide range of styles and influences from various musical artists such as Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and even Prince. Some people even say that Bruno Mars is the new Michael Jackson. When Bruno was a child, he idolized Elvis, and there are many videos of him imitating the legendary artist. For example, there is a short YouTube video where Bruno Mars was doing Elvis impersonation;  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75syWMnvdGA&ab_channel=AlwaysElvis His music incorporates sounds inspired by reggae, funk, R&B, hip hop, rock, and more. During the concert, Bruno Mars surprised his fans by blending his own songs with Chilean idioms, creating a unique and memorable experience. Before performing the song "Wake

A Country I would like to visit

Imagen
I am going to tell you about Siria and Turkey, they are two countries with which I feel a colossal filial connection because my family have a tiny part of these countries. On the one hand, my maternal great-grandfather escaped from the war to eradicate in Chile. On the other hand, my father’s mother was a Muslim, therefore, someday I would like to visit these countries to reconnect with my “stems”. Maybe Nowadays it is not a great idea visit these countries because are still scourged by war but, I could visit tourist attractions in Istanbul, know about its surroundings, architecture, and maybe I could visit the “blue mosque”. Talking about food, I am a big fan of desserts and sweet food in general. Sometimes my gran-mother cooked Arabian sweet pastries, these sweets are a kind of dough filled with pistachio or nuts these are fry and get wet with honey. In Turkey there is something similar named Baklava. Furthermore, for people who like savory food there are options such as shawarma
